How does it work in the search window?
Select Create column in the search window toolbar, then select the Rounding operation. You need to specify at least one argument:
Argument | Data type |
---|---|
Number to round mandatory | integer, float |
Decimal precision | integer |
The data type of the values in the new column is integer or float, depending on the selected input data.
...
Example
The examples in this article use values in a data table generated from the following CSV file.
...
from my.upload.sample.data
select split(message, ";", 16) as numbers,
float(numbers) as numbers_float
...
In the my.upload.sample.data
table, we want to round the values in the numbers_float column of our table to one decimal place. To do it, we will create a new column using the Rounding operation.
...
round(number)
round(number, integer_decimals)
Example
You can copy the following LINQ script and try the above example on the my.upload.sample.data
table.
Code Block |
---|
from my.upload.sample.data select split(message, ";", 16) as numbers, float(numbers) as numbers_float, round(numbers_float, 1) as numbers_float_rounding |
