Description
Converts an integer or a string representing an IPv4 address into an IPv4 address in ip data type.
How does it work in the search window?
Select Create column in the search window toolbar, then select the To IPv4 operation. You need to specify one argument:
Argument | Data type |
---|---|
String to convert / Integer to convert mandatory | string, integer |
The data type of the values in the new column is ip.
Example
In the siem.logtrust.web.activity
table, we want to transform the numbers in the bytesTransferred respondeLength column into IP addresses. To do it, click Create column and select the To IPv4 operation. The arguments needed are:
Integer to convert - bytesTransferredresponseLength column
...
Click Create column and you will see the following result:
...
ip4(ipv4_string)
ip4(ipv4_integer)
Example
You can copy the following LINQ script and try the above example on the siem.logtrust.web.activity
table.
