Alerts & Timezones

Alert definitions integrate a user’s timezone transparently upon creation and update to run the alertAlerts will run according to the timezone of the user who created it. If the user wants to change changes the timezone, their alert definitions will keep using the previous timezone unless they are updated while using the new timezone.Special attention is required when several users are in different timezones but work with the same alerts, as subsequent updates in the alert definition might constantly alter the timezone and thus alter the resultsthe alert definition must be manually updated to change the underlying timezone as well.

This is especially relevant for alerts with queries that contain time-based groupings.
