Description
Extracts the authority part from a URI in a new columnfield. See this article to learn more about URI syntax.
How does it work in the search window?
Select Create column field in the search window toolbar, then select the URI authority operation. You need to specify one argument:
Argument | Data type |

URI mandatory | string |
The data type of the values in the new column field is string.
Example
We In the demo.ecommerce.data
table, we want to get the authority part of the URIs in our referralUri column field. To do it, click Create columnfield and select the URI authority operation. The arguments needed are:
URI - referralUri columnfield
...
Click Create column and you will see the following result:
...
field.
How does it work in LINQ?
Use the operator select
... as
... and add the operation syntax to create the new columnfield. This is the syntax for the URI authority operation:
uriauthority(uri_string)
