Please note that using injections may entail an extra charge to your usual Devo subscription fee.

Overview

Injections are processes that run continually to copy new events from a source data table into a target, user-created my.app.* table. The target table may be in the same or a different Devo domain.

In the Injection list tab of the Administration → Data management area, you can check the aggregation tasks defined in your domain, as well as stop or configure them.

What permissions do I need?

In order to access the Injection list tab and manage the aggregation tasks in your domain, you need to have a role with management permissions on my.app injections (Administration → Roles → Permissions tab). If your role has only view access on this permission, you will be able to see the injections, but not to manage or edit them.

Learn more about role permissions in this article.

Filter injections

This tab lists the injections set up by yourself, or the ones that have been created in the domain. If you think you might not be seeing the most recent data, you can click the refresh button above the table. The Status column shows if the injection is active or inactive.

You can use the search above the table to filter data. It works as a centralized way of filtering using any data type present in the table. Also, you can click the Filter button next to it to access different filter options.

  • Use the time buttons if you need to show only injections defined over the last x hours, days, etc. The default option is All.

  • Enter a specific value in the fields below to filter injections containing that text in the value specified in the field. This method can be used to filter by Status, Name, Source Table, Target Table, Creation Date, and Owner.

If you want to remove the applied filters, you need to click the cross next to each filtering criterion that appears under the search box or click Clear all.

Manage injections

To manage an injection, use the buttons at the right end of the table row.

Click this button to check the injection details. You can add a description to the injection, or edit it.

Perform the desired changes and select Update to apply them.

To open the query you used to feed the injection so you can edit it, click the Edit button beneath the query dialog.

Make the required changes in the query, then select the Set query change in injection button that appears highlighted in the toolbar to open the injection details. Click Update to apply your modifications.

Run or stop the injection. When you stop an injection, data will stop coming from the source table. Run it again and the table will start receiving data from that moment.

You can also run and stop injections in bulk by checking the required boxes next to the Status column values. Then, click the arrow icon that appears to select the required action.

Delete the injection. You must stop an injection in order to delete it. Otherwise, the option will not appear.

You can also delete injections in bulk by checking the required boxes next to the Status column values. Then, click the arrow icon that appears to select the required action.

For more information about injections, see the Inject data to a new table.

Modify the aspect of the list

Click the ellipsis button at the top right of the window and select Display density to access 3 different style options for the injections table (Default, Comfortable or Compact).
