Hide and show columns
Hide or unhide columns in your data table to display just the data that you need to work with.
Hiding columns
Individual columns can be hidden by clicking the arrow icon that appears when hovering over a column header and selecting Hide.
To hide several columns:
Select the columns you want to hide by clicking their headers.
Click the Column icon on the toolbar and select Hide selected columns. You can also hide the columns you didn't select by clicking Hide unselected columns.Â
In the case of data tables with a large number of columns, you can select the Column manager icon on the toolbar. Using this option, you can easily look for columns using the search box in the window and hide the ones you don't need by deselecting them. This comes in handy when you are querying a data table that contains a great amount of information. You can also reorder columns by selecting and dragging them to the required place.
When you access a data table using a finder, you can hide columns before opening the data table. The Column manager icon turns green when you pick specific columns when running a search or when you hide columns in the search window.
In the column manager, click on the heading banner to reorder your columns according to name or type.
Unhiding columns
To show all the hidden columns, click the Column icon on the toolbar Show hidden columns.
Individual columns can be unhiding by selecting the Column manager icon on the toolbar and checking the columns you want to show.
