Google heatmap widget

What is a google heatmap widget?

The google heatmap widget represents data in a Google map, where each value is displayed as a colored circle indicating its proportion.

Configuration options

The following table lists the configuration options of this widget: 

Widget titleEnter a title for the widget
Widget descriptionEnter a description of the widget
Widget sizeChoose the size of the widget window
Time RangeThe period of data you want to analyze. Time range goes from 1 hour to 1 year
ActionsAdd the values of the grouping to the widget
Field to showSelect one of the available aggregated values
Google styleChoose ON to show the results over a Google map
RadiusChoose ON to show the results over a Google map
StyleChoose a color theme for the circles
Data OperationSelect between NoneLog (logarithmic) or Arc (arctangent)
Zoom in/outOn the map, click + or  to select the default zoom
Map/SatelliteSelect the default map visualization option between Map and Satellite

The widget below is a sample of the web access count by geolocation for the last day with the following configuration:

  • Time Range - 1 day
  • Field to show - count
  • Actions - All

Hints

  • Select Map or Satellite to change the map visualization.
  • Click + or  to zoom in/out and check detailed local info.
