Cards

A card is an element where content is displayed and made available. Here is the list of card types:

  • Application 

  • Activeboard 

  • Lookup 

  • Alert packs

  • Content packs

When you hover the cursor over the card additional information is shown. There is a number next to the eye icon indicating the number of views it has had. The number next to the downward arrow tells how many times it has been installed. Under the heading Technologies, you can read what technologies it is related to. 

When you click on the card, it opens in a larger window and a video starts playing about the content that you can install with this card. The videos can be a good source of information and introduction to the content of the card. If there is no video available for this content, then a default image or a carousel of images is displayed. 

On the card, you can read all the details about the content it contains. The information listed includes: 

  • Current version: The version number of the content.

  • More info details: Link to the documentation about the content.

  • Release version: Link to the release notes for that version. 

  • Current version: Version of the content of the card.

  • Creator: The company that created the content.

  • Requirements: List of source data tables needed for the content.

  • Technologies: List of technologies to which the content belongs.

  • Categories: List of categories the content has been tagged with to help users find it while browsing Exchange.

Users can comment on the Comment tab.

Requirements

On the right-hand of each card, there is a Requirements section. Contents need sources. For example, an Activeboard needs specific data to display. In the card, there is a section called requirements that lists source data needed for the content to work correctly.

If the source data required is already available in your domain then a green icon appears next to it.  If the source data is not currently available in your domain, a red icon appears. The system allows your Exchange domain administrator to install the content in any case. However, the data and tables needed should be imported or created for the content to work properly. For example, if you attempt to install an Alert pack and the card shows in the requirements one or several source data tables as missing, then the alerts whose source is missing will not be installed.

As an administrator, if an installed application or Activeboard does not have any data sources available, it is recommended that you uninstall it or deactivate it. In other words, if all required sources appear in red, it is best to uninstall or deactivate the card.
