To manage credentials, navigate to Administration → Credentials area, where you can manage the credentials used for sending and receiving data securely through the network. One use of credentials is to create secure connections from different data sources to Devo.
This area consists of three tabs:
Access keys - Consult and copy the API keys and API secrets used to set up your Devo Relay and authorize your API requests.
X.509 certificates - Download the X.509 certificates used to authenticate the data sources that send events directly to the Devo Platform.
Authentication tokens - Generate and manage tokens used to send data using the HTTP protocol and authorize API requests.
Access keys VS tokens
When it’s possible to use either access keys or an authentication token, we recommend to use tokens. Tokens are more restricted and the data they give access to is limited to a specific users. Learn more about access keys and tokens in their respective articles.
