Apart from relay rules, you can customize the settings that dictate how the relay will manage its connection with the Devo Cloud.

  1. Go to Administration → Relays. Click the Name of the In-House relay you want to configure. 

  2. Open the Relay Output tab.



    The following table describes the available options for configuring the Devo In-House Relay:

    Memory buffer size (MB)

    Maximum size of the memory buffer that stores events that, for whatever reason, could not be sent. If this buffer fills up, any remaining data will be stored in the disk buffer. The default value is 128 MB.

    If you have version 1.4.0 installed, the value specified must be under 2048MB. If that value is matched or exceeded, the relay won't work. Check the article Installing the Devo Relay to see the different installations available. 

    Disk buffer size (MB)

    Maximum size of the disk buffer that stores overflow events when the memory buffer is full. If this memory is also full, the oldest events will be discarded. The default value is 128 MB.

    Socket Timeout (seconds)The number of seconds the output socket will remain open after sending the last event. You may want to enter a longer time when, for example, you know new events will arrive soon. This option is checked by default.
    Socket Keep-AliveSelect this option if you want to receive a signal to check that the output socket is operating properly.
    TCP socket buffer size (kB)Enter the size of the TCP output socket from the relay to Devo. Note that 0 means the default OS value. The default value is 128 kB.
    CompressionChoose the required compression type (none or GZIP). The default value is none.

  3. Click Save.
