Injections

Please note that using injections may entail an extra charge to your usual Devo subscription fee.

Injections are processes that run continually to copy new events from a source data table into a target, user-created my.app.* table. The target table may be in the same or a different Devo domain.

In this tab of the Administration → Data Management area you can perform the following tasks:

Filter injections

This tab lists the injections set up by yourself, or the ones that have been created in the domain. If you think you might not be seeing the most recent data, you can click the Refresh button above the table. The Status column shows if the injection is active (green) or inactive (red).

If you need to show the injections of a specific time period you can use the buttons above the table.

You can use the search above the table to filter data. It works as a centralized way of filtering using any data type present in the table. Click the expandable menu and select the filtering criteria from the drop-down, then write the desired text. The table will only show those injections containing that string in the field selected as filtering criteria. This method can be used to filter by Name, Source Table, Target Table and User (Owner).

You can filter specific content in the table using the column filters. Click the filter of the desired column and write the desired text. The filter icon will turn green and the table will show only those injections containing that string in that column. This method can be used to filter by Name, Source Table, Target Table, Target Domain and Owner.

You can also filter by clicking cells on the table, or a specific part of it (for example, a tag or a status icon), to use its content as filtering criteria. The table will only show those injections containing that information. This method can be used to filter by Source Table, Target Table and Owner.

If you want to remove the applied filters, you need to proceed depending on the method used. To remove those applied using the column filters, you need to delete the text written in each column filter. To remove those applied by clicking cells on the table or using the search, you need to click the cross next to each filtering criterion that appears next to Keys above the table.

Manage injections

To manage an injection, place the cursor over the desired injection row to highlight it and click the ellipsis icon that appears at the end of the row. You can access the following options:

More info

To access the info, you can also click the corresponding cell under the Name column.

Here you can check and edit the injection details.

Perform the desired changes and select Update to apply them.

To open the query you used to feed the injection so you can edit it, click the Edit button beneath the query dialog.

Make the required changes in the query, then select the Set query change in injection button that appears in the toolbar and click Update to apply your modifications.

Run / Stop

Run or stop the injection. When you stop an injection, data will stop coming from the source table. Run it again and the table will start receiving data from that moment.

Delete

Delete the injection. You must stop an injection in order to delete it, otherwise the option will not show.

For more information about injections, see the Inject data to a new table.
