Exchange 1.8.1

Release date: February 22, 2024

In this release we are offering new capabilities for the Exchange platform, as well as some other minor improvements.

Access control

Exchange access control used to be role-based rather than policy-based. Previously, only admin users had access to Exchange and could manage content. Other users were unable to access it unless they possessed the Exchange_view policy, which only allowed them to browse content.

Now we added the Exchange_manage policy so that users can also manage Exchange content. This is especially relevant in the following cases:

  • MSSP: access is now equal for all domains and can be granularly assigned as desired.

  • Applications Gallery and domain applications: we have migrated the Applications Gallery to Exchange so that only users with the appropriate policy can manage domain apps.

Alert updating process

The alerts contained in alert packs can now be updated individually, as well as using the bulk actions. This optimizes the process and prevents data loss resulting from the update of the whole pack.

A comparison tool has been added to assist users in identifying the changes made in the alert query with the new version and determining the best course of action. This tool features a copy button in case users have customized the alert and want to keep some of the clauses after the update.

Lookup installation process

Lookups now reflect the installation waiting time through a new “Installing” status sign displayed on cards. Interaction options will not be available until the installation process is complete.
