Group triggered alerts

What permissions do I need?

To access the Alerts overview area and group alerts, you need at least the View level of the Triggered alerts permission (see a detailed descriptions of the alerts permissions here).

Additionally, you need to have alerts assigned with at least View access (see Assign resources to a role).

Grouping triggered alerts by name

A single alert can be triggered several times and you can group them by name to easily find them and analyze them. This may help you determine the actual relevance of alerts based on their repetition or distribution patterns.

Simply activate the toggle above the alert list (Group alert by name) and all the triggered alerts with the same name will be shown in a single instance that displays the following info:

  • Number of triggered alerts inside the group

  • The date of the alert of the group that was triggered most recently.

  • The name of the alert.

  • The category and category of the triggered alerts inside the group.

  • The triggered method used to create the alert definition.

Click the expandable at the beginning of the row to see all the individual alerts inside the group. Here you can navigate alerts as you would without the grouping (see previous section) and also manage them as explained here.
