Activate alert definitions

What permissions do I need?

To access the Alerts configuration area and enable/disable alerts, you need the Manage level of the Alert configuration permission (see a detailed descriptions of the alerts permissions here).

Additionally, you need to have alerts assigned with Manage access (see Assign resources to a role).

How to enable/disable alert definitions

If you want to stop an alert definition temporarily so that it does not monitor theconditions and trigger alerts accordingly, you can deactivate it. This way you can run it again in the future.

To activate or deactivate an alert definition, find it on the list (you can use the filters explained here) and simply use the ON/OFF slider a the end of the row.

Active alert definitions limit

Newly created domains can have up to 10 alert definitions activated while domains with a full subscription can have up to 300.

When you create a new alert that exceeds that limit, it will be automatically deactivated upon creation. To activate it, you can either deactivate other alerts as explained above or delete them to free up some slots.

If you need to adjust this limit, contact Devo support.
