Name

A unique name that identifies this specific delivery method.

Email

The email address where the alerts should be sent. This can be for a user or for a group.

Time zone

This is the time zone that will be used to calculate when alerts can be sent. This should be based upon the user's geographic location (if applicable). This will be applied to the schedule defined in any sending policy that uses this delivery method.

Language

The language in which to send the alert content.

Attach events checkbox

Check this box if you want to attach the events that triggered the alert to the email.

Inactivity alert

When using this triggering method, the email received will not contain any attachment, even if this option is enabled. This is because the inactivity is the absence of events, meaning there are no events to be attached.

Maximum number of emails in which to split the attachment

Set the maximum number of emails in which the attachment will be split when it is heavier than 5MB.

Given this 5MB limit, if you set a number of emails that is lower than required to include the entire attachment, only the initial parts will be sent. For instance, if the attachment is 50MB and you set the threshold to 5, only 5 emails will be sent with the the initial 25MB.

Activation

The new method is saved in Pending status.

A validation e-mail is sent to the email address, which must be confirmed before this delivery method can be used.

You can now associate this new delivery method with sending policies to start receiving alerts through this method.
