From base16 (hex8)
Description
This creates an integer from a valid hexadecimal (base16) string.
How does it work in the search window?
Select Create column in the search window toolbar, then select the Hex8 operation. You must specify one argument:

Base16 string mandatory | string |
The data type of the values in the new column is integer.
Example
In the siem.logtrust.web.activity
table, create a new column using the Hex8Â operation.
The argument needed to create the new column is:
Base16 string - region column
Click Create column and you will see the following result:
How does it work in LINQ?
Use the operator select
... as
... and add the operation syntax to create the new column. This is the syntax for the Hex8 operation:
hex8(string)
