Install Devo Relay on Red Hat

We recommend installing Devo Relay on Ubuntu. However, it is possible to install it on other Unix-family systems. These instructions are based on Red Hat using the dnf package manager. 

Relay migration

If you are using an old version of Devo Relay and want to migrate to the most recent version, go here to learn how to do it.

Before you begin

Make sure you have a machine with the requirements specified in this article.

Before starting with the installation process, you must disable SELinux. See this article to learn how to do it.

Installing Devo Relay

The default installation loads the US keyboard layout. To change the layout for another region, use the loadkeys command before starting this procedure and enter the region code for your region.

To load the Spanish keyboard layout (es):

sudo loadkeys es

 

Important: Java versions

Please note that the devo-ng-relay and the CLI require Java 17 to work. Other Java versions are not supported. The devo-ng-relay package includes this required Java version so please consider uninstalling any other version you may have, or use the Linux command update-alternatives to make Java 17 the default Java.
