Oracle

Oracle Database is a proprietary multi-model database management system produced and marketed by Oracle Corporation. It is a database commonly used for running online transaction processing, data warehousing and mixed database workloads.

Connect Oracle with Devo SOAR

  1. Navigate to Automations > Integrations.

  2. Search for Oracle.

  3. Click Details, then the + icon. Enter the required information in the following fields.

  4. Label: Enter a connection name.

  5. Reference Values: Define variables here to templatize integration connections and actions. For example, you can use https://www.{{hostname}}.com where, hostname is a variable defined in this input. For more information on how to add data, see 'Add Data' Input Type for Integrations.

  6. Verify SSL: Select option to verify connecting server's SSL certificate (Default is Verify SSL Certificate).

  7. Remote Agent: Run this integration using the Devo SOAR Remote Agent.

  8. Server Name or Hostname of Database: example, 192.168.1.1 or mydatabase.example.com.

  9. Port (Optional): Specify the port on which database server is listening to default is 1521.
    At least one of the following fields are required:

  10. Database Service Name: Service Name of Oracle Database Instance

  11. Database SID: SID of Oracle Database Instance.

  12. Username: Username for connecting to the database.

  13. Password: Password for connecting to the database.

  14. After you've entered all the details, click Connect.

Here variables inside curly braces {{}} refer to the column of the parent node’s results table. | Required |

Output

If the query returns results, for example, select * from orders, the following will be the one row of the output.

In case the query does not return results, for example, update customers set name = ‘new name’ where id = 3. The output would be the following:
