Platform 8.5.0
Release date November 22, 2023
New features
Lookups → Error feedback always available
Lookups displaying a Creating/Deleting/Updating, status where the associated create/delete/update operation has failed, will display an error status icon (a little blue bell). When you click on it, a pop-up window with the corresponding error will be displayed.
The pop-up contains the following information:
Recoverability
Error description
Lookup recoverability options
Available actions
Home page cache
The new cache system will reduce database queries, improving data retrieval times and thereby enhancing the performance and responsiveness of the home page. From this release the data in the home page will be refreshed in two different ways:
Manually: every time the user clicks on the refresh button.
Automatically: every 1h period.
Alerts → Unread alerts counter removed
In the triggered alerts page we have removed the unread alerts counter. This has been done to provide more clarity and remove any potential confusion for users, as there were separate counters for unread and new alerts.
The unread alerts counter also prioritized just one of four potential states that an alert could have.
Improvements
Finders
From this release on the Finder selector width will adjust as follows:
In the case of the Finder name field, to the Finder name size.
In the case of the Finder drop-down menu, to the size of max (size of the largest Finder name, size of the current Finder name field).
Improved user interaction with Finders by adding the ability to hover over the inline message associated with the union icon and select any text contained inside.
Bug fixes
There was an issue with the Top 10 (last 24hr) widget on the Home page showing tables with the incorrect number of labels.
The Autoparser column type JSON split was failing when numbers were enclosed in quotes.
The Autoparser would fail when it found special control characters.
