Generate charts

Overview
Charts are visual representations of information that facilitate data analysis and are created directly from query results. Devo groups charts into four different types:
Plots | Plots graphically illustrate the relationship between different variables. | |

Maps | Maps plot activities on a geographic map. | |
Diagrams | Diagrams summarize and group information to visually highlight comparative quantities. | |
Anomaly detection | Anomaly detection charts are aimed to detect anomalies in a specified time series. |
Build a chart
- Go to Data Search and open the required table.
- After querying the necessary data, select the gear icon on the toolbar and click Charts to see the different types of charts under the four main levels: Plots, Maps, Diagrams, and Anomaly detection. Choose the required one.
- When you click on a main chart type, such as Plots, a sub-menu appears with specific charts, such as scatter plot or bubble chart. Choose the appropriate one.
Drag the required columns to the fields in the window to display the chart. Each chart is defined by a set of attributes and values. If you select the information icon next to these attributes, it will show the type of value it is expected to contain.
You will find the following icons in most of the widgets. Some widgets may have other special icons that are explained in their individual articles.

Save a screenshot of the chart.
After the chart is displayed, click this icon to open the field selector again.
Embed the chart window in the upper right area of the search window. Click again to pop it out again.
Maximize the chart window to fill the entire screen. Hit the ESC key to exit full-screen mode.
After dragging the required data fields, the chart will be automatically displayed. Check out the articles in this section to see the values that each specific type of chart requires.
Charts always reflect the data of the current query as shown on the search window. You can change the time range or perform any operation without closing the chart and if it affects the columns used to construct it, the content will change. This might be helpful when the columns used are adequate but the data displayed does not satisfy your needs so you want to change it without constructing the diagram again.
