What is a punch card widget?

The punch card widget uses circles to represent values over time for a set of parameters. The circle diameters are proportional to the value represented.

Configuration options

The following table lists the configuration options of this widget: 

Widget titleEnter a title for the widget
Widget descriptionEnter a description of the widget
Widget sizeChoose the size of the widget window
Time RangeThe period of data you want to analyze. Time range goes from 1 hour to 1 year
Group byUse this option to select the grouping. Enter the required multiplier number in the left field and the time range in the right one (minutes, hours or days)
Actions Add the values of the grouping to the widget
Field to showSelect one of the available aggregated values

Example

The below widget is a sample of the monitoring ISP response time.

  • Time Range - 1 month
  • Group by - 1 day
  • Field to show - Average (responseTime)

Hints

  • Global Size
    • If you switch the toggle off, the size of each circle is related to each ISP.
    • If you switch the toggle on, the size of each circle is related to all ISP.
  • Hover the mouse over each circle to see its value.
